One of my most favorites! They are incredibly delicious-so crunchy, nutty, fresh and have a slight floral flavor. They go well with most anything, or just as a snack on their own. At market, sunflower micros are the favorite of kids...parents often say it's the only vegetable their children can't get enough of : ) Sunflower shoots are a complete plant protein, full of healthy fats, antioxidants and contain all of the essential amino acids as well as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, copper, phosphorous, selenium and manganese. They are particularly high in zinc...what do they not have?!
